Bid on Used Vehicles

PUBLIC NOTICE

Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority (SMHA) is disposing of eleven vehicles. Vehicles consist of cars, passenger trucks and a dump truck. Vehicles sold “AS IS, NO GUARANTEES, NO WARRANTIES, NO REFUNDS and NO RETURNS”. 

 Vehicles available for viewing 10:00 am to noon on December 7, 2017 at 718 Cleveland Ave SW, Canton OH.  This is a sealed bid with a minimum starting bid price. You can bid any amount including minimum bid in whole dollars. There is a one bid per person per vehicle. Items resulting in a tie will be determined by time of bid, i.e. bid awarded to earliest bid.  Bidders must use SMHA’s bidders form.  Bidders forms not fully completed will not be considered. Bidder forms must be received by 3:00 pm on December 8, 2017 to Procurement Department at 400 East Tuscarawas Street, Canton or by email to bidders@starkmha.org.  Subject line of email must state “Vehicle Bid”.  Winning bidders notified next business day. Winning bidders will have 3 business days after notification to contact Carla Horton at 234-214-4231 to make payment, obtain title and remove vehicle from SMHA’s property. Failure to make payment in 3 business days will result in next highest bidder being awarded vehicle.

Information, minimum bid and picture of vehicle is available on SMHA web site (http://www.starkmha.org). It is sole responsibility of winning bidder to remove vehicle, even if it involves towing. Some vehicles may not start on day of auction or at pickup.

Only a bank electronic (ACH / EFT) payment confirmed by SMHA’s bank, cashier’s check, bank draft, or cash is acceptable. Cashier’s check or draft must be made payable to Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority.
