SMHA RECEIVES MINI-GRANT FROM STARK– WAYNE-TUSC JOINT SOLID WASTE DISTRICT

A mini-grant in the amount of $2,500 provided by the Stark-Wayne-Tusc Joint Solid Waste Management District will enable SMHA to facilitate educational workshops, recycling activities, and develop educational resource materials to promote anti-litter and recycling awareness. In partnership with the city of Canton Sanitation Dept., SMHA will be engaging with residents at several family-sites to promote a recycling program which is anticipated to commence this spring.

  1. Hello, just wondering if the residents here in Alliance (I live on Pike Street) will be able to participate in the recycling program, i.e., like just at least having recycling bins to do our part for the environment. I would definitely participate. Thank you for taking the time to read this comment.

    • Hi Jennifer,
At this time, we are beginning the recycling program at Jackson Sherrick, Linwood, and Ellisdale; however, it is our hope to expand the program in the future! Thank you so much for your comment and your support!
